Affordable Access to Primary Care, Therapy, and Psychiatry
Affordable Access to Primary Care, Therapy, and Psychiatry
Mental Health conditions can be debilitating to those who suffer from them. What’s more, treating them can require Therapists, Psychiatrists, and other specialists in addition to your Primary Care provider. Accessing these specialists and finding the right treatment approach for each patient can be a convoluted and expensive process. But it doesn’t have to be that way. At Starlight Health we bring Primary Care, Therapy, and Psychiatry all under one roof where we can actually talk with each other to address your case.
Our Primary Care was designed to provide you with access to your Primary Care Provider without any hoops to jump through. We can manage medications and determine underlying physical conditions that can contribute to mental health instability.
Counseling is an additional service offered to our patients. We provide talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and more with our certified therapist in an integrated, team-based setting
Psychiatric consultations are available to patients in our practice. They can receive prompt recommendations typically within 24 hours from board-certified psychiatrists without needing to schedule appointments or deal with referrals to other practices.
At Starlight Health we can treat a variety of mental health problems. We provide the option of therapy or medication management and provide options in-house for your preferred approach.
And so much more…
Primary Care
Jason Rogers is a licensed Physician Assistant in Colorado. He received his degree from NOVA Southeastern University located in Orlando, Florida. He spent 5 years working as a traveling PA all over the country in various clinics including critical access hospitals, primary care clinics, surgery wards, and more. He ultimately founded Starlight Health in July 2020.
Jason is the lead primary care medical provider for Starlight Health’s Direct Primary Care program and is the lead for all patients seen at Starlight Health. He has full prescription authority to manage the needs of our mental health patients and is the primary contact for all psychiatric consultations.
Jason’s approach to treatment revolves around shared decision-making and patient autonomy. He understands that every patient is different and that they have their own desires and goals for how they want their mental health treatment to proceed.
Therapist
John Rowe (He/Him) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. John received his Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Denver Four Corners Program. During his time in the four corners region, John transitioned from his role as a whitewater and wilderness guide to the helping professions while studying psychology at Fort Lewis College. John developed a passion for supporting others and after noting the prevalence of mental health issues in his community, John became interested in the use of strength-based and solution-focused approaches to help individuals adapt coping skills to their own life circumstances.
John’s approach to treatment is client-centered which recognizes that each client is the expert of their own life. The role of a counselor, in this case, is to act as an ally while supporting clients in maintaining the autonomy to direct their treatment goals in a safe and non-judgmental setting. John specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma and stressor-related disorders, and co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. John now lives and practices in Fort Collins, Colorado, and uses evidenced-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support his clients in navigating their healing journeys. Throughout his time in the mental health field John has served as a counselor in settings such as wilderness therapy, integrated healthcare facilities, mobile community intervention, outpatient counseling centers, jailed-based health services, and residential treatment centers.
