What You’ll Need

You will need access to a phone, tablet, or computer capable of participating in a telehealth appointment. Video visits are preferred when clinically appropriate.

If video is unavailable, an audio visit may sometimes be possible depending on your medical concern. You may also be asked to securely provide photographs or other information to assist with your evaluation.

Is Virtual Care Right for Me?

Some conditions cannot be safely or adequately evaluated through telehealth. Your appointment may be redirected, deferred, or cancelled if the available technology, connection quality, or clinical circumstances do not allow for an appropriate virtual evaluation.

If this occurs, we will help recommend the most appropriate next step.

Quick Care is episodic care. Virtual Quick Care is intended for convenient treatment of individual medical concerns and does not establish Starlight Health as your primary care provider.

VIRTUAL QUICK CARE

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions before requesting your appointment? Here are some of the most common things patients want to know.

What is Virtual Quick Care?

Virtual Quick Care is designed for common, straightforward medical concerns that can often be evaluated through a telehealth visit. It is episodic care and does not establish Starlight Health as your primary care provider.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Use the appointment request form on this page to request a visit. Once your request is received, our team will review the information and confirm your appointment.

Are same-day appointments available?

Same-day appointments may be available depending on the time of your request and the day's schedule. Earlier requests generally provide the best opportunity for same-day availability.

What can be treated through a virtual visit?

Many common medical concerns can be evaluated virtually, including certain respiratory symptoms, sinus concerns, pink eye, rashes, urinary symptoms, minor infections, and other straightforward conditions.

Some problems require an in-person examination, testing, imaging, or a higher level of care. Your provider will let you know if virtual care is not appropriate for your condition.

Do I need video?

Video is preferred when it is clinically appropriate. If video is unavailable, an audio visit may sometimes be possible depending on your medical concern.

You may also be asked to securely provide photographs or other information to help with your evaluation.

Can I get a prescription?

Prescriptions may be provided when your provider determines they are medically appropriate. A virtual visit does not guarantee a prescription, antibiotic, or any particular medication.

What if I need an in-person examination?

If your condition cannot be safely or adequately evaluated through telehealth, your provider may recommend an in-person examination, laboratory testing, imaging, urgent care, emergency care, or another appropriate next step.

Is Virtual Quick Care for emergencies?

No. Virtual Quick Care is not an emergency medical service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, severe symptoms, or believe you need immediate medical attention, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Does a Quick Care visit make Starlight Health my PCP?

No. Virtual Quick Care is intended for episodic medical care and does not establish an ongoing primary care relationship with Starlight Health.
